S.6 - Mapping It All Out

Lesson Notes

Before you start to storyboard, it is very important that you map out the basic outline of your plan and the script that you will be storyboarding. In this video, we teach you how to do just that.

Next Step Challenge

Take the script provided or a favorite story and begin to thumbnail that. How would you see this play out on the screen? Look at a particular scene and see what the starting point is, the middle action, and the end or transition. Find out what the key points of the story are, draw those scenes the way you see them looking if they were made into a film. Then, go back and figure out how to transition from the points.
